About Community Gardening
Ways to Garden in the Park: Community Gardening and Park Stewardship
The Southwest Corridor Park provides opportunities for 2-3 ways to garden in the park:
- Community Gardening -- apply for a plot in one of the twelve community gardens in the park
- Park Stewardship -- connect with our volunteer network to help care for gardens and landscaping in the park. Stewardship opportunities include participation in volunteer days (to work as a group on specific projects); or garden stewardship (to be assigned a small garden or area in the park to care for).
- Also - children in Jackson Square can participate in gardening in the playground garden at Jackson Sqaure.
